Tripod 31 ‘Gestell 31’ (January 2024)

There are multiple types of optical equipment tripods used by the German military, but I have only two types.

German period tripods for optics are new to me, due to its weight which made postage sky high I was never own one, but when completed the collection of the SF14G the next item to hunt for is the tripod. It was duly found in Dec 2019.

It hurt my fingers many times during the restoration,  as not used to its weight, now I can playing it with confident like a trained soldat.

Here is the early type “Gestell 31”, another over engineering master piece and a big toy to me.

The container ‘Behälter’ was also found later, been repainted many time and in Norwegian green, removed all layers of paint to reached this status.
