Never dream of to have a chance to own such a piece of gear, this S.F.14z was found in a scrap yard in Serbia, its been heavily used in 2WK and the civil war throughout the decades.
It was made by ‘bmk’ (Srb & Stys, Fabrik praeziser Messinstrumente, Prag), date 1939.
With Belizean coat of arms, which was intended to export to Brazil, may be due to the outbreak of war, it was staying to serve the German Heer.
It is in poor condition, loose eyepieces, lost sun shield, broken lever bubble, full of dents but still functioning.
It was sent to the optic master Martin Sivák in Slovakia for restoration, replaced some prisms and eyepieces, fine turn and aligned the lenses, stripped off the postwar paint, and repainted in German Grey.
