Map Table PIU 700x700mm Restoration–The Final Polish

There are four cork discs covering the steel anchor base plates of the leg hinge blocks.

Not easy to detect when covered by paint when new.

Should be designed as push pins pads.

It was quiet difficult to locate the nature cork sheets for replacement.

Only 2mm sheets found and turned to discs shape by punch.

Two layers of cork discs to form the 4mm thickness to seal the anchor base plates permanently.

Which means one more step forward toward the completion. 

The top planks had been polished by 60 grits sandpaper by hand sander last week.

The final polish was completed by 120. 240 and 320 grits sandpaper by my small rotary sander links to an improvise vacuum suction.
