Boot Tree–Stiefelspanner Restoration

It was sent in a big box without cushions or protection, lucky to received in one piece.

The left foot of the boot tree was broken in halve, it is holding together by a long nail horizontally.

All the metal part are rusty but robust, one pin on the shaft is missing.

Some wood warm holes on the left foot.

Overall it is in good condition and easy to restore.

The most difficult part is to remove the decades old rusty nail.

Thread the wood warms holes and glue the two pieces by white glue.

After its dried overnight, filled the gaps by wood filler.

Sand smooth and paint the new filling by mixing up matching color of the wood.

All metal parts been removed rust and covered by the left over heat resistent paint.

On and off took a month of spare time working on it.

Weeks later the replacement pins obtained and completed the case.
